Nouvelle peinture ajoutée dans la galerie en ligne. La peinture est finalement terminée et regroupe les différents temps que l'on trouve ici dans une journée (pluie, vent et soleil dans le désordre). Et inclus aussi, quelques gouttes de pluie imprégnées dans la toile.

Dublin est une bien jolie ville, mais les irlandais mettent tant d'ardeur à cacher les immeubles anciens, à les demollir ou les reconvertir en logements neufs. Par contre l'acier et le verre ne sont pas vraiment des éléments chaleureux. (video rigolote sur ceux que veulent faire des fous au large de Dublin... c'est pas realiste leur video avec le temps d'ici).

Je vais donc me deplacer d'avantage pour les prochaines peintures et aller à l'encontre des anciennes rues et batiment qui subsistent, avant qu'ils soient definitivement detruit ou convertis en "Highest standard 1 & 2 bedrooms apartment". L'idée est de remonter la rue qui mène au centre ville et de s'arreter pour voir un peu le Dublin decrepit.

Une première peinture en travaux en ce moment sur une impasse prés de Amiens street. A suivre.....

Dublin is the fair city, but the new movement is too try to make it different : luxury and modern like theses... (have a look at this ad, it's quite astonishig how it sounds serious about making a shamrock island near Dublin). Well lets move for the next landscape paintings into the old streets and buildings of Dublin, before they collapse or get a lifting to be made luxurious 1 & 2 bedrooms apartments at the "highest standard". So I will follow the main road to city canter and stop myself in the Vintage Dublin.

The first painting is about a dead end street off Amiens street called : "Preston street".

New song on music page : Iso 9000. It was first recorded few month ago but habe been re-recorded theses last days. This is a song relating the last events in the automotive industry in france, many suicsides caused by overtime, stress and pressure from company, sub contractors and so on....

Mise à jour de la chanson Iso 9000, re-enregistrée dernièrement (sonne du tonnerre!). pour écouter, c'est par là .... pourquoi ISO 9000 ? c'est une norme qualité pratiquée largement et qui induit des efforts, stress supplémentaires. Une norme de plus qui ferait déborder le vase....

I apply to the CIRCA competition. This is the Ireland's magazine for contemporary visual art and visual culture. The purpose of the competition is something linked to youtube and art in Ireland, so i put a short version on the CCTV performance on it. Support me here with a comment on video !

J'avais pris avec moi un carnet de croquis pour ces vacances en France. J'ai ramené quelques griffonages de beau temps, d'arbres et barques au bord de berge.

Une sensation de beau temps que je n'avais pas ces derniers jours avant de partir. Le soleil est un peu timide ici et le ciel est souvent couvert.

I took my sketching book with me while in holidays in France. I turn some white pages into black, with some piece of french countryside : small boat, poplars and pathway in the fields.

It was nice to feel the sunny weather i didn't get theses last days before holidays. The sun here is sometimes away.... in our hearts.

Maybe will i use them for painting a bit of french country in ireland...

Quoi de neuf sur la passerelle ?

Et bien ca y est, le nouveau site web est (presque) fin prêt. On va le baptiser avec la bouteille de champagne.... en espérant ne pas trop l'abimer.

Donc le nouveau site a un but par rapport a l'ancien site : il récapitule toutes les peintures et musiques réalisées, et ceci dans une interface épurée, simplifiée, etc. Le site va remplacer l'ancien, le noir va laisser sa place au site blanc.

Il y a pour le moment, les peintures ainsi que les 2 albums de musique. Et je mettrais à jour les travaux recents dans les prochains jours.  (l'image ci-dessus vous présente ce que vous devez voir normalement sur le site. Si vous observez quelque chose de différent, c'est que vous n'utilisez pas le même navigateur que moi....

So what's new on the website ? Well there is the new website running from now.This is the first view today so it may appears some bugs but, a good insecticide spray should make it okay then.

What is the difference between the old and new website ? Well, the new one is a bit faster, whiter, easier, smarter than the old one... Very quick access to last paintings, the whole collection, and the songs, old one and recent one. No more no less.

For start, i put the last paintings acrylic works in Dublin and last Oil paintings of the last few years. In the music corner, you can find the 2 first songs sets, the new one are on their way and will be updated in the next few days. And by the way, if the website doesn't look like the picture, you may use a different browser than mine.... so enjoy the visit.

De retour de vacances, j'ai repris les pinceaux et les peintures du voisinage. Donc suite de l'épisode précédent "painting in the rain", ou je me suis fait tremper lors d'une peinture sur le bord de mer. J'ai donc repris la toile pour la terminer. Et c'est là ou l'on s'apercoit que terminer une peinture est autrement plus compliqué que d'en commencer une.

Le paquetage sous le bras je suis reparti sur Clontarf Road avec une petite modiufication de la perspective du tableau. J'ai rencontré du monde l'aprés-midi, comme quoi il n'y a pas que des touristes à Dublin en été. J'ai aussi fait la rencontre d'une personne qui fait le trajet sur clontarf Road et qui voudrait un tableau bien precis. Il habitait un peu plus loin et les jours de beau temps, il marchait vers Bull-Island pour aller se baigner. (Et il faut marcher un moment avant d'y arriver, surtout quand on est pas grand). Du coup quand il commençait à voir se profiler le pont de bull Island ainsi que les toits rouges éclatant du Club de Golf, il savait que la baignade n'etait plus trés loin.

Il va falloir que je retranscrive tout ca maintenant pour cette commande.

De retour sur cette peinture donc....J'ai volontairement mis de l'herbe folle à la place du gazon trop bien taillé (toutes mes excuses pour les employés municipaux qui coupent l'herbe à la perfection). J'ai refait le ciel pour écraser les effets de pluie sur la peinture à l'huile (spots). Et j'ai finalement reussi à poser la signature et clôturer cette peinture épisodique.

Back to business, after few days in the sun of France. Back to the Irish sun now (not so bad actually). I took my brushes back with me on the clontarf footpath with a old crapy unfinished canvas (read the full episode here), And see how hard it is to finisha painting (starting is far more much easier, and it'snot specific for paintingwhan i think about it).

Wandering in the dollymount wind i put my easel on the next bench to the first for changing my point of view. I meet pretty much people this afternoon and few tourist of course (with their lovely accent from my home country.) I met i guy too interested in a comissionned work about a scenery starting from bull bridge to the roofs of the golf Club. It remains him his early days when he was young. They were no easy transportation from north strand to Bull island and he was walking all along for a couple of swim. It was a long way (not to tiperrary) but when you are young and excited about week end swim, it's a long long way.

He was waiting for this famous view, giving him courage for the last mile. A scenery on a sunny day with ashinny red roof of the golf club.

Now i have to make preliminary sketches and wait for a very bright and sunny day for achieving it.

Well, back to the other painting : I put some wild grass instead of the well manerred cuted grass (sorry for the guys who put all their love and passion in cutting the grass so well). And i made new sky (second layer) for evicting the old artefact spots due to the rain on my fresh canvas. And finally a little signature at the bottom corner saying : it's ok!!

Petite semaine spéciale ou l'on accueil Elsie à la maison.

Mais qui c'est Elsie ?Petite présentation de la charmante demoiselle :

Elsie est "une" labrador croisée golden de 8 mois. C'est une future chien d'aveugle, mais pour le moment elle est en période de stage. Ses maitres sont en vacances pour le moment et du coup elle aussi, à la maison pour une semaine. Apparemment elle abuse un peu sur les croquettes, du coup elle va avoir droit à un régime carottes à la maison.

Elle est arrivée avec tout ses jouet, le manuel pour apprendre à dresser le chien, des ordres transmis à l'oral pour la faire asseoir, attendre et faire pipi. Malheureusement on n'a pas retenu celui pour qu'elle fasse "popo" sur le balcon, et qu'elle s'endorme dans sa niche le soir.

Pour le moment, elle est calmement allongée à côté....

Special week with special guest at home : "Elsie". Who the f**k is elsie ? the girl next door ? No... she is a puppy dog, a future irish guide dog. Now she is in holliday at home because her walker are in hollidays too. She is a bit fat (maybe too much treat theses last few weeks ?). So here she is on diet, based on carotts....

She came with all her stuff, toys, jacket and book about how to train a puppy dog. The guy from the irish dog told us the few words she know and obey, but few are missing to us such : how to go on balcony for toiletting and how to go fast in her kennel (lovely bed).

She is sitting in her kennel and sleeping now and is a good girl.

Well the next exhibitions are not yet planned but will be very soon, as geraldine O'brien who accept to host me at the public library in Ilac decide to make me go to the others branch library ion Dublin : So the next exhibition will take place in the 21 other branches in Dublin.

Maybe something like 2-3 weeks in Each so it means the next few months will be booked for theses 12 paintings. I surely will make a special t-shirt for this events (just like a world tour concert...) . Just a proposal for the moment, so more news after the holidays.
